Service Description
This driving tour begins with a breathtaking drive along the ocean, passing the Cheese Castle (Castelo de Queijo), the trendy Foz district & the Arrábida Bridge (Ponte da Arrábida), arriving in the centre where you will visit the Historic Centre, Sé Cathedral, Bolhão Market, Santa Catarina shopping street, Clérigos Church & Tower, Lello Bookshop, São Bento Train Station & the Stock Exchange Palace. The morning finishes at the riverside Ribeira Square, where you will enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch in one of the most beautiful parts of the city. After lunch, you will traverse the symbolic Douro River on the Eiffel‑inspired Dom Luís Bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia, where you will visit a famous port wine cellar for a tour & tasting, learning all about the production, harvesting & transporting of this unique drink. You will have time to purchase some bottles if desired. You will then head back to the ship (or preferred location) via Boavista Avenue, one of the longest avenues in Portugal, where you will view the award‑winning Casa da Música (House of Music – concert hall) & witness some remarkable stately homes lining this picturesque avenue. ITINERARY: After pick‑up you will visit the Historic Centre, Sé Cathedral, Bolhão Market, Santa Catarina shopping street, Clérigos Church & Tower, Lello Bookshop, São Bento Train Station, Stock Exchange Palace & Ribeira Square, finally crossing the Douro River on the Eiffel‑inspired Dom Luís Bridge to finish in a famous port wine cellar for a tour & tasting of this enjoyable drink. There will be a stop for lunch & some extra time for shopping.

More than 14 days prior to the tour: 80% refund. 14 to 7 days prior to the tour: 20% refund. Less than 7 days: No refund*. *Note: If travelling on a cruise ship which does not dock for some reason, a full refund will be made. 4.
