Peso da Régua, considered a gateway to the Douro Valley, is approximately 100 km east of Porto and around 90 minutes by road. Pinhão, located deeper in the heart of the wine region, is approximately 120 km from Porto and closer to two hours. Beyond Régua, the scenery becomes increasingly spectacular, with terraced vineyards lining the steep hillsides along the Douro River.
